We met up bright and early at 93 Dunlawton Ave and got our gear ready. The weather was partly cloudy throughout the day, with a chance of storms, but that didn't dampen our spirits. We headed out and started a mix of deep sea fishing and trolling, working the wrecks and reefs just off the coast with our heavy and light tackle setups. It didn't take long before the rods started bending - we were into some nice Southern Flounder, putting up a great fight as we reeled them in. The fishing stayed strong all day, with the crew getting in on the action. We switched up our techniques, trying live bait and then switching to heavier gear to target some bigger fish. The water conditions were fantastic, which really helped us locate the schools and put our baits right in front of them. By the time we headed back in, we had a nice haul of Southern Flounder to take home. Thrilling Nearshore Fishing Expedition with Top Notch Adventures
Heading out on a Port Orange Fishing Charters | Nearshore Trips with Top Notch Adventures was just the adventure we were looking for. March is a prime time to target a variety of species in these nearshore waters, and the conditions today couldn't have been better – partly cloudy skies, great visibility, and just a light breeze to keep things comfortable. Michael and I met up at the 93 Dunlawton Ave launch point right at 7 AM, ready to get our lines in the water and see what the day had in store. As we made our way out, we started working the wrecks and jetties, mixing up our techniques with some deep-sea trolling and heavy tackle action. It didn't take long before we had our first hookup – a feisty Atlantic Spanish mackerel that put up a great fight. We kept the momentum going, landing a few more Spanish mackerels, as well as a nice Whitetip reef shark that had us on our toes. When we switched over to some lighter tackle, the sheepshead really started to turn on, and we had a blast working the structure for those tasty, hard-fighting fish. The variety of species we encountered out here was really impressive. One minute we'd be hooked up on a mackerel or shark, the next we'd be battling a sheepshead or some other surprise. It kept us on our toes and made for an incredibly fun and action-packed day. Between the great fishing, the beautiful scenery, and the awesome company, this nearshore trip had it all. I'm already looking forward to getting back out on the water with Top Notch Adventures. Inshore fishing when offshore is too rough!
the original plan was to go offshore but the seas were not co-operating. We switched the plan to save the day and targeted inshore Red fish and mangrove snapper. Many fiah were released and the clients kept just enough for a meal.
