Heading out for a day of inshore fishing in Fort Morgan, Alabama was the perfect way to spend a sunny May morning. The forecast called for partly cloudy skies, and the waters of Mobile Bay were calm and inviting as I met up with my guest, Troy, at the Fort Morgan Marina. We wasted no time getting our lines in the water, working the inshore structure with a variety of techniques like deep sea, jigging, trolling, and light tackle. The action was steady from the start, with Summer Flounder and Spotted Weakfish hitting our baits aggressively. Troy was a natural, setting the hook hard and playing the fish beautifully to get them in the boat. We kept a solid rotation going, mixing up our presentations to find what the fish wanted on any given drift or cast. The fishing was a blast, but the real highlight was just being out on the water and enjoying the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast scenery. Between catches, we'd take a moment to admire the views, watch for wildlife, and share a few laughs. That's what makes these inshore trips so special - it's not just about the fish, but the whole experience of being out on the water with good company. If you're looking to get in on some world-class inshore action in the Fort Morgan area, I highly recommend booking a 4-Hour Inshore Fishing Adventure with Trick'em Charters. Whether you're an experienced angler or a complete beginner, we'll put you on the fish and make sure you have an unforgettable day on the water. From Summer Flounder and Spotted Weakfish to a variety of other hard-fighting inshore species, the fishing here is absolutely top-notch. So what are you waiting for? Book your trip today and let's go catch some fish!
Spring break brought plenty of action to the waters of Gulf Shores, and Captain Mike reports consistent success throughout the busy season. The sheepshead bite, which was strong earlier in the spring, is beginning to slow down as those fish start to move out. In their place, Spanish mackerel are arriving in impressive numbers—showing up early and in full force. With warmer weather settling in, anglers can expect fast-paced fishing nearshore, especially when targeting Spanish mackerel along the beaches and passes. These aggressive feeders are a favorite for light tackle and a great sign that summer fishing patterns are kicking in. Now’s the time to gear up and hit the water!
Location: Gulf Shores, Alabama Weather: Clear skies with a gentle breeze, temperature reaching 80°F. Water Conditions: Calm waters with slight tidal movement, water temperature around 75°F. Species Activity: Speckled Trout: Good action reported near shallow flats and grassy areas. Topwater lures and live shrimp proving effective. Redfish: Schools spotted along marsh edges and oyster beds. Cut bait and soft plastics yielding bites. Flounder: Fair catches reported around structure and sandy bottoms. Jigging with live minnows producing results. Sheepshead: Active around pier pilings and rocky structures. Fiddler crabs and shrimp working well as bait. Spanish Mackerel: Schooling near nearshore reefs and artificial structures. Trolling spoons and casting jigs attracting bites. Overall Outlook: Anglers enjoying productive outings with diverse species biting. Favorable weather conditions making for pleasant fishing experiences along the Gulf Shores coast.
Today's bite was absolutely on fire, with hard-fighting and delicious sheepshead biting left and right. It's truly a special experience to witness the excitement and joy on the faces of our guests as they reel in their catches. I have to say, sheepshead won't be around for much longer, so if you're looking for an unforgettable fishing experience, now is the time to book your trip with us. Our expert crew knows exactly where to find the best bite, and we'll work hard to make sure you have a successful and enjoyable day on the water. There's nothing quite like the thrill of reeling in a big catch, and today was no exception. From speckled trout to redfish, we caught a variety of hard-fighting fish that put up a great fight. So, what are you waiting for? Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience the excitement and adventure of a Fort Morgan fishing charter with Trick'em Charters. Book your trip today and let us take you to the best bite on the Gulf of Mexico!

Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable and changed our location quickly when needed. The first location was great, our second location was a little slow. He moved us to a third location that was a ton of fun! We had five adults and one 8 year old child in a wheelchair. He was very accommodating to our needs and made sure my son was able to participate in the experience. The Fort Morgan Marina was a little difficult for wheelchair accessibility from the parking lot. Once on the boardwalk or sidewalk, the wheelchair accessibility is good with an elevator to the second and third floor. We had a great time!
