Chris Chandler is an Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide, military veteran, law enforcement veteran, and founder of Trout OPS. Born and raised in Northern California, he has spent a lifetime chasing trout and steelhead throughout the region’s rivers, streams, and lakes. Trout OPS was built around a simple belief: fly fishing is about more than catching fish. It’s about adventure, connection, learning, and finding peace on the water.

Chris specializes in creating personalized fly fishing experiences for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you’re picking up a fly rod for the first time, looking to improve your casting, or pursuing a trophy trout or steelhead, his goal is to provide a safe, educational, and memorable day on the water.

In addition to guiding, Chris serves as a volunteer and trip coordinator with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, helping veterans discover the camaraderie, purpose, and restoration that fly fishing can provide. Giving back to veterans and first responders remains a core part of the Trout OPS mission.

Chris is also the host of the Trout OPS Fly Fishing Podcast, where he shares stories, techniques, conservation topics, and conversations with guides and anglers from across the fly fishing community.
