Whether you're an early bird who loves the crisp morning air or prefer the afternoon sun on your back, we've got you covered with our top-rated AM and PM charters. These 4-hour adventures are perfect for anglers who want serious fishing without burning a whole day – plus, everything you need is included, from tackle to cold drinks.
What to Expect on the Water
Your fishing adventure kicks off at either 7:00 AM for the morning crew or 2:00 PM for afternoon warriors. The beauty of our dual schedule is that each trip targets different waters and species. Morning charters push further offshore – we're talking up to 8 miles out where the big pelagics roam. You'll be trolling for Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, Wahoo, and those hard-fighting Northern Kingfish that'll test your skills. Afternoon trips keep things closer to shore but don't think that means less action. We focus on structure fishing and drift fishing for Cobia, Tuna, and if we're lucky, some beautiful Sailfish. The Conch center console design gives everyone plenty of room to move around and fight fish properly – no crowding at the rail. With GPS and radar guiding us to the hottest spots and outriggers spread wide, we're set up for success from the moment lines hit the water. Captain and crew know these waters like the back of their hands, so you're fishing the right spots at the right times.
Trolling Tactics & Tackle
We run a mix of trolling spreads and bottom fishing depending on what's biting and where we find the action. For the offshore morning runs, we'll have multiple lines out – usually four to six rods trolling at different depths and distances. The outriggers let us spread baits wide, covering more water as we work productive areas. We're using everything from ballyhoo and bonita strips to artificial lures that mimic baitfish. When we mark fish on the sounder or hit structure, we'll switch to bottom rigs with circle hooks – much better for the fish and your chances of landing them. The livewell stays stocked with fresh bait, and we're always ready to switch tactics if the bite changes. All tackle is tournament-grade stuff that can handle whatever we hook into. You don't need to bring anything except your enthusiasm and maybe some snacks to keep your energy up during the action. The boat's electronics do the heavy lifting when it comes to finding fish – GPS keeps us on productive spots, while the radar helps us navigate safely and locate bird activity that often signals feeding fish below.
Top Catches This Season
Northern Kingfish are the bread and butter of our morning offshore runs. These silver bullets typically run 10 to 30 pounds and fight like they're twice that size. Best time to target them is during the warmer months when they're actively feeding on the surface. They love live bait and fast-moving lures, and once you hook one, get ready for screaming runs and head-shaking jumps. What makes Kings so popular with our guests is their aggressive nature – they'll slam a bait hard and give you a fight you won't forget. Plus, they make excellent table fare when prepared fresh.
Red Snapper are the crown jewel of bottom fishing, and our afternoon trips put you right in their neighborhood. These chunky fighters average 5 to 15 pounds but can push 20-plus if you're lucky. Snapper are structure-oriented fish, so we target them around reefs, wrecks, and hard bottom areas where they ambush prey. They're active year-round but peak during late spring and summer months. What anglers love about Red Snapper is their willingness to bite and their bulldogging fight – they'll use every bit of structure to try to break you off. They're also considered some of the best eating fish in the ocean, with firm white meat that's perfect for grilling or frying.
Mahi Mahi bring the color and acrobatics that make offshore fishing so addictive. These brilliant gold and green fish range from schoolie-sized 5-pounders to bull dolphins pushing 30 pounds or more. Peak season runs from late spring through early fall when water temperatures climb and they move closer to shore. Mahi are found around floating debris, weed lines, and temperature breaks – and when you find one, there are usually more nearby. They'll absolutely demolish trolled baits and put on an aerial show once hooked. Guests love Mahi because they're beautiful fish, fight hard, and taste amazing – sweet, flaky meat that's perfect for fish tacos or blackened preparations.
