Captain Chuck Bishop, also known as Coach, has been immersed in a diverse array of sports from an early age, demonstrating a natural talent and enthusiasm that has continued throughout his life. His journey into the world of hunting and fishing began early, thanks to his grandfather, who introduced him to these outdoor pursuits. This early exposure fostered a deep appreciation for outdoor activities. As Coach grew older and moved to the coast, he expanded his horizons to include scuba diving and fishing, further enriching his connection to the water.

Living near the coast, Coach was influenced by his neighbor, a seasoned commercial fisherman and charter captain. This relationship not only deepened his love for fishing but also inspired him to obtain his own captain’s license. His experience as a scuba diver has been particularly beneficial, providing him with a detailed understanding of underwater structures and reefs, as well as the diverse marine life that populates these environments. This combination of skills and knowledge has made Coach a highly skilled and knowledgeable guide.

Victory Charters, operated by Coach Bishop, reflects his long-standing dedication to the sport. For over 30 years, Coach has been a respected teacher and coach in the Wilmington area. His passion for the outdoors is evident through his extensive involvement in fishing, hunting, and scuba diving. Now, he has transitioned from teaching to fully embracing his passion for fishing, offering his expertise to those eager to experience the rich fishing grounds off Wrightsville Beach.

Guests aboard Victory Charters will enjoy fishing on a 26’ Maycraft center console, equipped with a 300 HP Yamaha outboard and a closed transom. The boat is designed to offer ample space for comfort, accommodating up to 4 passengers comfortably and up to 6 on nearshore trips.
