An avid angler of over 40 years, Capt. Joseph decided to start sharing his passion with others. He’s licensed by USCG and the state of Ohio ODNR. Spending every moment he can on the water. He’ll be happy to share his skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm with you and, hopefully, get you hooked on fishing!
Step aboard the Albin Boat, the Wicked Eye which is fitted with all the latest navigational equipment to get you to the hottest fishing spots. The vessel is powered by a 300HP turbo diesel engine. Light and agile, she’s a boat adept at getting you through even the trickiest of waters. There is plenty of space here for all 6 anglers in your group to fish at the same time. She has a fully enclosed wheelhouse for the cold days, a full restroom, sleeping and eating area below deck for the kids to get out of the weather or when they get tired. There is a permanent soft top over half of the back and the hull is designed to cut through the waves, not smack into them. The boat is designed to make your trip comfortable.
You’ll have the chance to go after Walleye and Perch. There’s a wide choice of techniques you can use to catch them, including trolling, jigging, and casting. You can choose whether you’ll keep or release the fish you catch. Also, kids are more than welcome to join the trip, so feel free to bring them as well. You will be assisted by Captain’s first mate to help you on the entire trip.

Perch and Walleye Bites Bright on Marblehead OH's Lake Erie
Hot bite and happy crew! Marblehead OH is a great spot for fishing, with plenty of fish like perch and walleye that bite all year round. I took Thomas and their crew out on our Wicked Eye Charters "Perch and Walleye Fishing (Up to 4 Guests)- Lakeside Marblehead" trip this morning at 7 AM. The weather was partly cloudy throughout the day with storms possible, but that didn't stop us from having a great time on the water. We worked the area using a variety of techniques like drop shot, live bait, and trolling to try and find the fish. With our gear rigged and ready, we didn't stick a trophy on this run, but every cast and minute on the water was worth it. Another limit
Another great day with repeat customers on a big wave day. Fishing was a little slower at times but we got it done with the help from some great Captians out there. Definitely a village effort today. With Hunter Browett and Oliver Zinkon manning the deck it made it easy for the driver!

We had a great day out on the water with Daniel, taking on the Lake Erie Fishing | Walleye And Perch Fishing trip with Wicked Eye Charters. August is prime time for targeting these tasty species, as the warming waters and seasonal patterns bring them close to shore, making for some excellent action. When we met up at Channel Grove Marina Inc. this morning, the weather was a bit overcast, with some early morning rain, but the forecast called for clearing skies later in the day - perfect for a productive day of fishing. As we headed out, the water conditions were ideal - calm and clear, allowing us to easily spot baitfish and structure that the Walleye and Perch would be holding around. We started the day jigging and trolling, working different depths and areas to see where the fish were most active. It didn't take long before we started hooking into some nice Walleye, with Daniel showing off his skills by setting the hooks and fighting them expertly. Between the Walleye, we also started picking up some chunky Perch, making for a nice mixed bag. The bite stayed strong throughout the day, with us landing a solid number of both species. In addition to the Walleye and Perch, we even managed to boat a few Blue Catfish, which put up a great fight on our light tackle gear. The weather held out beautifully, with the clouds clearing to a bright, sunny afternoon, making for a super comfortable day on the water. Between the steady action, the beautiful scenery, and the great company, this trip had everything you could ask for. Start to our fishing season
Yesterday we kicked off our 2023 fishing season. after 24 hours of NW wind we set lines using bandits 45-75 back. we caught some really nice fish but was slow for us after the NE blow. great group of guys.it felt good being back fishing doing what we love and meeting new people.

My wife, daughter, and I decided to try walleye fishing on Lake Erie, and Joe and his son gave us an incredible experience. They showed us how to set up trolling lines, running 10 at once, and as soon as they were in, the action was nonstop with walleye after walleye. Their expertise in tracking the fish and knowing where to drop lines made all the difference. Joe and his son worked tirelessly to ensure we had the best trip possible. We reached our limit for walleye and even released a couple of nice catfish along the way. I can’t recommend Wicked Eye Charters enough! We’re already looking forward to returning for a shot at some perch fishing with Joe.

Our afternoon trip with Captain Joe and First Mate Hunter was a fantastic experience. As expected on Lake Erie, quick pop-up storms added an extra element of excitement to the day. The Captain knew exactly what we needed—we’re not ones to fish in the rain, so we took a break at Kelleys Island’s West Bar for a snack. Once the skies cleared, we headed back out, and with their expertise in setting lines, we were on track to reach our limit. They were dedicated to staying out until we did. The boat was clean, the crew was competent and friendly, and it was an all-around great trip.

Being a farmer I am naturally tighter than a bulls butt at fly time. However I can 100% honestly say the Father Son Team @wickedeyecharters and the guide job they did for us was worth every penny. This was our first charter but the way the showed us the ropes you’d never have guessed it. At one point in time all 3 of us had walleye on the line a triple header! They were super with me and super with my son and his friend who are both fairly young for such a trip. We will be booking a trip again for next year.
