Captain Zachary Gaza, the founder of Wolfpack Fishing Charters, brings unparalleled expertise and enthusiasm to every trip. Growing up in Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan, Zach developed his fishing skills targeting salmon, trout, and walleye on Lake Michigan. His love for fishing and the water continued through his studies at the College of Charleston, where he majored in anthropology and archaeology with a focus on marine archaeology.

In 2021, Zach leaped to pursue his dream of becoming a professional fishing guide. Moving to the metro Detroit area, he founded Wolfpack Fishing Charters, a business that embodies his deep respect for the water and his dedication to helping others experience the thrill of fishing Lake St. Clair.

Musky Fishing (June–December)

Known as the “fish of 10,000 casts,” musky are a challenge that Captain Zach embraces with enthusiasm. Using a variety of techniques such as casting, jigging, and trolling, we help anglers target these elusive predators in Lake St. Clair and its connecting waterways. Walleye Fishing (March–May)

Walleye trips highlight the early fishing season, focusing on trolling and jigging techniques. Captain Zach’s in-depth knowledge of the lake’s hotspots ensures that your time on the water is productive and exciting. Perfect for families, groups, or individuals, our walleye trips are an excellent way to experience the joys of fishing in Michigan.

Our 21-foot Ranger boat, powered by dual 350 HP Mercury engines, offers a smooth and comfortable ride. With a guest capacity of up to seven, we ensure plenty of space for everyone to fish and enjoy the journey.
