We'll meet at the marina in Pompano Beach (weather permitting) where you'll board our dive boat and head to some of Palm Beach County's most beginner-friendly reef sites. The whole experience takes about 4-5 hours from start to finish, giving you plenty of time to get comfortable with the gear and really soak in the underwater world. Your instructor stays right beside you throughout both dives, making sure you're relaxed and confident every step of the way. The first dive happens in shallow water where you'll practice basic skills like clearing your mask and breathing through your regulator. Green sea turtles occasionally cruise by these dive sites, especially during warmer months from May through September. These gentle giants can weigh over 300 pounds and live for decades, often returning to the same feeding areas. If you're lucky enough to spot one, your instructor will guide you to observe from a respectful distance while the turtle goes about its business of grazing on seagrass and algae.
