The morning session runs until about 10:30, giving you prime time when these exotic animals are most active. This is blind hunting at its finest, but with a twist – we'll also hunt safari-style from the UTV depending on what the animals are doing. The South Texas terrain is perfect mix of brush country and open areas where these exotic species feel at home. You'll need to bring a bolt-action rifle – we recommend a .300 Win Mag, though a .308 Win and up will work fine. AR-style rifles aren't allowed on this ranch, so stick with traditional hunting rifles. You'll also need to show us a gun range receipt with your target proving accuracy – we take ethical shots seriously here. Remember, if you draw blood, you're buying that animal, so make sure your rifle is zeroed and you're comfortable with your effective range. Our blinds are spacious and positioned based on feeding patterns and travel routes we've been tracking.
Axis Deer are the crown jewel of Texas exotic hunting, and for good reason. These beautiful animals, also called Chital, sport stunning spotted coats year-round and can weigh up to 180 pounds.
