Our Lake Erie fishing trips take place on a 25’ Scout vessel, designed to comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. The boat is equipped with a fully enclosed helm, protecting adverse weather conditions, so your fishing experience remains enjoyable no matter what Mother Nature has in store.
For avid anglers, Lake Erie offers year-round opportunities to target Walleye, starting from late March and extending through Thanksgiving, with some die-hard enthusiasts fishing into early December. Our primary fishing technique for Ohio Walleye is trolling, but we also enjoy casting and drift fishing to vary the experience. Lake Erie is renowned for its Walleye, with Fish Ohio category Walleye commonly reaching over 28" and weighing in at an impressive 9 to 13 pounds. In the coming years, you can expect the average Walleye size to be between 18" and 24". Your adventure will take you to both open waters and the hidden reef structures in shallow and deep waters. While Walleye are the stars of the show, you can also target Yellow Perch and Smallmouth Bass, making your trip even more diverse and exciting.
To make your experience hassle-free, Captain David provides all the necessary fishing equipment, so there's no need to rent any gear. First ever Lake Erie fishing trip and it was perfect!! Capt Dave prepped us for what to bring and what to expect. The day exceeded everyone’s expectations! From unusually low humidity/temperature in middle of July to glassy lake and lots of hungry walleye! Dave knew the best spot and once he had us setup we were reeling in the fish. The entire trip was fantastic and Dave taught us a few things about fishing and the local Lake Erie landmarks. Really, REALLY, want to go again but our trip was so perfect I’m not sure how we top it!

Over the weekend, we had an epic day of walleye fishing with Captain David. Our group of four limited out with several in the mid-20s and one 28.5-inch beast that was a blast to reel in. I'm not sure I've seen such a hard-working and knowledgeable Captain, and the proof was in the consistent mixing up of techniques, lure selection, and programs we used throughout a very productive day. Captian David is smart, funny, and helpful, advising passengers at every experience level. Lake Erie walleye fishing has a reputation for healthy and abundant fish; we saw that firsthand. We'll be back! I highly recommend booking a charter with Black H2o Dog.

Had a fantastic time with Captain Faller. We started the day at 6 am and started fishing after getting to spot. David was very knowledgeable and worked well with both boys and adults. We all had a great time and got our limit (as you can see with the pictures). We all learned a bunch and enjoyed it immensely. Would definitely us Captain Faller again.

Well first off I would like to say thank you to cpt Dave . Even know the fish were a little slow he really knew how to stay on em anyways.. this trip meant a lot to me because it was with my father and he made us feel so welcome and caring .. he knows his stuff and works his butt off .. also have 2 very beautiful dogs that go fishing with him sometimes. All in all I rate this charter a 5/5 stars. Thanks once again and I will be back ! Along with multiple others who I have gave this number too!!
