Captain Mike's passion for fishing began at the age of 5, spending numerous days and nights on the water with his grandpa. He caught his first sailfish on the charter boat out of Islamorada, FL when he was 7 and was hooked for life. He always knew he would be a charter captain some day. After years of fishing on charter boats, Captain Mike found he enjoyed a more personal relationship with customers. Sitting on the bridge and watching the mate, he couldn't wait to get into the business of making people happy and being at the helm of his own boat. 

When the opportunity to run his own boat arose, he started fishing more with live bait and doing more sight fishing. Captain Mike developed a unique style of fishing with clients that created a more hands on, enjoyable experience. This new style allows him to teach others the sport enjoys so much. The more he teaches, the more clients are able to do on their own which keeps them involved and having lots of fun. 

Clients hook their own fish, cast their own baits and learn to tie knots on their own. The look on someone’s face when know they caught a fish and did it all by themselves is priceless. Of course, some people still enjoy when Mike does most of the preparation for them and that’s great too. But the chance to cast a live bait to your first kingfish on your own is an experience that can’t be beat and shouldn’t be missed! Captain Mike has dedicated his charter business to his grandpa, who inspired his love for fishing.
