Most run 2-13 pounds, though we occasionally see 20+ pounders. They're masters of disguise, floating on their sides near weed lines and debris to mimic floating vegetation. You'll find them cruising near the surface year-round, which makes them perfect for sight fishing. What makes them special is their surprising fight - despite that chunky body, they're surprisingly acrobatic when hooked. The meat rivals grouper and snapper for table fare.
