One for the books today! Summer fishing on Keystone Lake near Cleveland, OK brought us some fantastic action. I had the pleasure of taking Larry and their crew out for a day of lake fishing with TJ Fishing Co & Guide Service LLC. The partly cloudy skies made for perfect conditions as we set out in the late morning. Once the stage was set, we got down to business targeting white crappie. We employed a mix of techniques to entice these tasty panfish. Crankbaiting proved effective, allowing us to cover water and locate active fish. When we found a promising spot, we'd slow down and switch to jig fishing, working the structure carefully. Live bait fishing rounded out our approach, giving the crappie a tempting offering they couldn't resist. The combination of these methods kept things interesting throughout the day. While we didn't land any monsters, the steady action made for an enjoyable outing. We wrapped up with smiles all around, having put some nice white crappie in the boat. If you're thinking about a fishing trip to Keystone Lake, now's a great time to get out on the water. The summer pattern is in full swing, and the crappie are biting. At TJ Fishing Co & Guide Service LLC, we specialize in putting our clients on fish year-round on this diverse body of water. Whether you're an experienced angler looking to dial in your technique or a family wanting to enjoy a day on the lake, we've got you covered. Our Keystone Lake trips offer something for everyone. From the novice to the seasoned pro, there's always something new to learn and experience out here. We provide all the gear and knowledge you need for a successful day on the water. The lake's abundant fish population, including the white crappie we targeted today, makes for consistent action throughout the seasons. Don't forget, Keystone is also known for its excellent catfish and bass fishing, so there's always a chance to mix things up. If you're in the Cleveland, OK area or planning a visit, give us a call to book your own Keystone Lake adventure. We'll put our local knowledge to work and show you the best spots this lake has to offer. Remember, every cast is a new opportunity, and we're here to help you make the most of each one. Looking forward to seeing you out on Keystone Lake soon!
What a difference a day makes!! From insane wind yesterday, close calls with fires, to much lighter winds today & cold! It started off pretty chilly but that cold front didn’t affect the bite by any means for us!! Today I had John & Brice in the boat and they made quick work of a 2 man limit (74)! We made 1 move to an area that was protected, put the Garmin Force trolling motor down, took off and never picked it up till we had 74 in the boat! Our best bite was in 5-15 FOW catching fish both roaming & on bottom! My new Garmin Marine 126 ultra 2 paired with my new LVS34 was key to finding these “turtle shells” on bottom! Found tons of them & they were aggresive!! Thanks again guys lots of fun! I have availability and my calendar is wide open! Don't forget about gift certificates for the perfect gift! Book today on my website: www.tjfishingandguide.com. Today, I had the pleasure of having a familiar face on the boat – my longtime client and good friend, Jimmy! He heard the crappie bite was on, so we made a plan and got to work. We rounded up a nice mess of quality slabs, with crappie fishing being as good as it has been for the last few days. The light winds made it easy to fish any spot we wanted, allowing us to cover a lot of water. We explored different areas and picked up fish along the way, including some tough, hard-headed ones, but the fish that wanted to bite didn’t hesitate—when they hit, it was a solid "thump!" The winter crappie fishing pattern should hold on until April, which means now is a great time to catch some big crappie and stock up your freezer! We were fishing in 15-35 feet of water, targeting both suspended crappie and those holding tight to structures. We had success using a combination of hair jigs and plastics to land those slabs. Thanks again to Jimmy for a great day on the water! Book your guided crappie fishing trip today to take advantage of the excellent bite. Don’t wait—great fishing conditions like these won’t last forever! See you on the water soon!
Didn’t take many pics today but took The day off to have some me time (scouting) fished for Crappie & Striper today boating a few of each and a nice bonus Hybrid, on my days off I’m not worried about catching a bunch I’m simply on the hunt, that’s more than half the fun to me besides just catching them, staying on top of patterns and fish movement is vital to have consistent successful guide trips! I do the work so you don’t have to! I found plenty of fish today, the crappie bite was consistent on small profile jigs, but minnows would’ve helped I’m sure, I was on plenty of striper as I have been but they have been super finicky, been throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them, I caught a few today then decided to go look for crappie, had no problem finding sandbass as well but I let those be for another day, don’t forget you can get these WindRider hooded sun jerseys like I’m wearing and stay cool and protected all day long! Check them out at https://www.windrider.com/coll.../tj-fishingco-guide-service & use my Code TJ10 at checkout! also be sure to check out Waterland sunglasses for the best fishing optics on the planet! I wear them religiously!!! Check them out at https://www.waterlandco.com/ & use my code TJFISH at checkout! https://www.tjfishingandguide.com/
Made a scouting trip to Oologah today since it’s been a few weeks! I don’t know that I thawed out yet from my Tournament at Kaw yesterday but there are Slabs to be caught & work to be done! Put on my Norfin USA and hit the water! It was chilly but not windy finally!! I started out looking at some structures I like to normally fish and it was either empty or full of drinks, water temp down to 47-49 so I revised my game plan and stepped out into deeper water, and started picking off suspended fish in 13-26ft of water & the bite was AGGRESSIVE!! Caught my limit using Cut Throat Jig Company “Snowman” paired up with Falcon Rods 13’ spooled with MAD Fishing 15lb braid, kept a few for a meal, and donated the rest to some less fortunate bank fisherman! They were extremely happy!

TJ came aboard our personal fishing boat to help us with the garmin livescope sonar equipment setup. He updated our software and configured the settings for optimal performance. We practiced livescope techniques. We had a great time with TJ. He was on point with everything we were using. We walked away with a better understanding of the electronics we invested in.

Taylor knew exactly where we could get on Crappie and wasted no time getting there and start fishing. Fish were biting fast and he guided us to exactly to keep us busy. Large Crappie and lots of fun. Caught enough for several fish fries with all our family. Will be going again. Thanks to Taylor and Anthony as he did boat 2 for us also. Below is Taylor and Anthony and our catch.

Taylor was great in boat 1 and Anthony in boat 2. Taylor got us on crappie instantly and had us catching large crappie. We usually catch a couple decent ones on our own but not over for 4 people and all being monster sized Crappie. Loved and will be back. Pic below.
