We launch in the late afternoon when the evening bite starts heating up. The cooler air and changing light conditions trigger feeding activity that makes these inshore spots come alive. You'll be fishing some of our most productive structure - rocky points, drop-offs, and current breaks where bass and bluefish patrol for baitfish. Plan on being out there for several hours as we work multiple spots, following the bite and adjusting our approach based on what the fish are telling us. This trip runs from July 7th through August 31st when conditions and fish activity are at their peak.

They travel in schools and when you find one, you've usually found a bunch. Look for them in 10-40 feet around bays, sandy bottom areas, and tidal rivers during summer months. They're known for their "blitz" feeding where they'll churn the water like a washing machine going after baitfish. Great fighters with lots of energy. The smaller ones are excellent eating - mild and flaky when fresh. Pro tip: use a wire leader or heavy fluorocarbon because those teeth will cut through regular line in a heartbeat.
Morone SaxatilisThese are the fish that make our evening trips so popular. Stripers run 20-40 pounds on average, with those distinctive dark stripes down their silver sides. They're strong fighters but not crazy fast, which makes for a great battle without losing your whole tackle box. You'll find them hanging around structure - rocks, drop-offs, sandbars - usually within a few hundred yards of shore. July through August is prime time when they're actively feeding in our inshore spots. The meat is sweet and flaky, perfect for the dinner table. Here's a tip: watch for diving birds or bait getting pushed to the surface - that's where the stripers are feeding underneath.
