A Little Something About Our Captain/Guide

I am a USCG and Texas Parks and wildlife licensed Texas fishing guide specializing in bay fishing trips out of Rockport and Corpus Christi areas. I have loved being outdoors since I was a kid and have been fishing and hunting ever since I can remember. I started as a bass fisherman in 1989 when I was 11 years old and have participated in and won several tournaments.

I soon became a lover of saltwater fishing, finding it more family-friendly. I share my love of fishing with my wife and kids. We fish together often and compete in family tournaments frequently.  I have guided for and led his wife’s fishing team to many wins! I am available for hire for fishing tournaments, am great with kids, and would love to show your family a memorable day on the water!

Captain Larry Miller Shares His Favorite Equipment and Fishing Story

My favorite types of equipment for fishing are Simrad graph, spot lock trolling motor, power poles. As for baits and lures, it depends on the time of the year, but soft plastics and topwater are used for artificial and croaker, shad, shrimp (dead & alive), and mullet for live bait.

One of the best fishing stories I have was when I cast nine times and caught nine redfish and limited out in less than 20 minutes.

I love clients with kids.  To see them smile and get so excited to catch a fish just warms my heart.  When the kids catch their personal best, that absolutely makes my day!

What Clients Say About Fishing with Captain Larry

“My husband, Ed, and our friend Wayne are all amateurs who were fishing close to your charter boat on the north jetty Friday morning. My husband caught a huge redfish (45.5 inches). We managed to land the fish, measure it, take pictures, then release it. Wayne knew a little bit about air bladder distension, but not enough to help our fish. You were very thoughtful and definitely went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out in reviving the beautiful fish so it could survive its release. Ed, Wayne, and I cannot thank you enough, Larry, for helping us out. And we cannot thank your clients enough for their patience while you were helping us and our fish.” - Kathy

“We made it less than a mile from the dock when our kiddo started asking when we could go back out with Larry! We had a great time and the adults are also ready to hit the bay again with Larry! Thank you! "- Megan

“You could not ask for a better guy to fish with. We had a situation come up that required us to cut short and make a very fast run back to the ramp. Larry handled the situation perfectly. He continued to fish that day and brought the fish to us so we did not go home with out. I can not say enough about how good of a person he is. Made a customer for life with me.” - Brandon

One thing to note about Captain Larry is that he is a Member of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA), and encourages catch and release.
