“Redfish. The Mississippi River dumps into the Gulf of Mexico and makes a safe haven for bait and breeding of schools of redfish unlike any place in the world. With over 100 inland guides here that take in boatloads of redfish each year, it seems there is no end to tossing back over 50 redfish over 27” per boat per day throughout the whole year. We make sure to keep a daily limit of 5 per person 16”-27”. I was born and raised here in Venice Louisiana and am now 48 yrs. of age. After charter fishing here for over 20 yrs., redfish have no shortage here. That’s not to mention the other many species of fish here to catch to make a full box of fish is incredible.” -Captain Chad Rudolph, Southern Access Charters
“Striped Bass!” -Captain Ingrid Read, 289 Striper Guide
“Chinook Salmon.” -Captain Sean Gilles, Fish Addiction
