Gripping Lips Guide Service

Hello, my name is Capt Shane. I own Gripping Lips Guide Service. We mostly fish the waters south of the New Orleans area. This includes Myrtle Grove, Lafitte, and Grand Isle.

We specialize in inshore fishing for giant redfish, speckled trout, largemouth bass, and even go out and get some red snapper when season is in. We fish out of an original New Orleans-built Avenger 226. This model has a lot of open deck space, rides very dry and comfortable, and has the power to get us to the fish, with a Yamaha 250 on the back. It's equipped with a 10 ft Power Pole, the latest electronics, and a powerful trolling motor. We have all safety equipment on the boat, including life jackets and fire extinguishers. We have a large ice chest on the boat that we keep full of water, but if there is any special beverages that you would like to bring, feel free to do so.

We may be stalking giant reds in the shallows, chasing down speckled trout, or going for the largemouth bass, (or green trout), as the locals call them. We accommodate everyone, from the expert fisherman, to the beginner. We are patient and try to teach everyone something new that the customer can take back to their home waters. Don't worry! We will carry shrimp on the boat most times in case the bite is super tough. During the summer, make sure you dress in something cool.
