Iām Captain Chad St. Pe of Cajun Outcast Inshore Charters, your Louisiana fishing charter master guide. We fish out of the beautiful community of St. Bernard, just minutes away from downtown New Orleans. Out here, weāre surrounded by the bountiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico, so thereās plenty for us anglers to explore. Just look at my Facebook page, and youāll see what weāre regularly up to in fishing in this part of the state.
I have three decades of fishing experience under my belt. Rest assured that youāll be in capable hands when you book your charter fishing trips in Louisiana with me. Iām not selfish with my expertise and knowledge about the area. Iāll teach you as much as possible while youāre a guest on my boat so you can fill your bucket. Plus, Iāll take you to the perfect fishing spot, wherever it is in the vicinity.
I enjoy hosting anglers of all levels on guided fishing trips in Louisiana. I especially love to have novice anglers and children onboard as I enjoy teaching. Thatās why I became a guide. Itās the best way to combine my passions: fishing and teaching. Iām incredibly patient, so there is no need to feel embarrassed or anxious about your lack of expertise when you book a fishing tour with me. I promise you ā youāll become a better angler after a fishing trip with me.
I canāt play favorites when it comes to my top fishing spots here in Louisiana. I must say, Louisiana inshore fishing charters like ours are spoiled for choice. Having access to the Gulf Coast is one of our many blessings in this location. Louisiana fishing is a must-experience for any angler, with a coastline of over a thousand miles and a beautiful mix of marshes, barrier islands, and beaches.
Based here in St. Bernard, I can fish top spots like Shell Beach, Hopedale, and Delacroix. We fish the incredible waters of Breton Sound and Biloxi Marsh from these historic fishing communities. Aside from the fisheries in this part of the Gulf Coast, these areas are rich in wildlife.
With Cajun Outcast Inshore Charters, expect to catch some Louisiana saltwater and freshwater favorites. We mainly target redfish or red drum, speckled trout or sea trout, sheepshead, black drum, and southern flounder. Iām partial to targeting speckled trout and redfish as an angler, but I can help you catch other fish species we can find. Iām a numbers kind of guide, so if youāre looking to fill your bucket, Iām your guy.
I like to fish with a popping cork because you can fish with it all year round. I would argue that itās the best for targeting my favorite speckled trout and redfish. Aside from the popping cork tactic, I also enjoy fishing with a Carolina rig.
As your master guide, I wonāt limit you to my favorite techniques and methods. Iāll be more than willing to help you combine several techniques to ensure youāll meet your target catch. Bottom fishing, cork, trolling, jigging, and spinning ā weāll try them all to see which reels are in the most numbers. My top priority is to help you enjoy fishing. But if you want to learn my fishing tactics and strategies, just let me know, and Iāll give you pointers!

You wonāt need to worry about a thing when you book your Louisiana fishing tours with me. As a guide and an angler with decades of experience, Iām committed to providing all my guests with the time of their lives. That includes prioritizing your safety and comfort above all else.
When you book a trip with me, Iāll take you on board my 23ā Key West Bayreef. Itās powered by a 300 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engine and can accommodate up to 5 guests. Take your kids and family along! My charter fishing boat is equipped with technologies to help us fish more productively and safely ā we have a GPS, a fish finder, a fighting chair, a wireless trolling motor, and a Livewell. We also have an ice box to keep your catch fresh for table fare.
Our fishing charter offers 7-hour weekend trips. If you want to book additional hours, let me know! My fishing trip rates are based on the guest number. We have trips for 1 to 4 guests and five guests. We have our fishing gear on board that you can use, so you donāt need to bring your fishing rod and reel. However, if youāre eager to use your equipment, youāre free to carry them for the ride.
We provide you with everything else you need for fishing when you book a trip with us. Just bring your snacks and beverages on board. Weāll be out in the water for 7 hours, so youāll need some refreshments. Youāll need some outdoor protection, too. A protective hat, a pair of UV sunglasses, SPF 50, and bug spray should do. Donāt forget to bring your fishing license! Here in Louisiana, youāre required to get a basic fishing license. If youāre targeting saltwater fish species beyond the designated line, youāll also need an additional saltwater fishing license. My advice is to consult the official Louisana State Department of Wildlife and Fisheries website so youāll be sure which type of license to bring.
