ClearVision Charters is a family-friendly, no experience required charter company providing anglers the enjoyment of high speed, run and gun fishing for a variety of Louisiana inshore and nearshore species. Our waters are teaming with fish and conditions often favor specific species, so we work hard to achieve multiple-species slams. The current record sits at 11 and you can compete to snatch that title. Spin and fly charters run year round.
Captain Rick Thompson is a United States Marine Corps Veteran who’s proud to call New Orleans home. Growing up, he spent countless hours learning, fishing and hunting the bayous of Venice, LA. While he's logged a lion’s share of fish, his most fond memories are the smell of salt in the air, having alligators destroy popping corks and swimming with porpoises in the distance. He named his company “ClearVision Charters” because his foremost desire is to allow patrons to see the bayou through the same eyes that caused him to fall in love with Louisiana’s waterways as a 10 year old child.
Captain Rick is 100% committed to providing the best possible experience for his guests every time he hits the water.
His charters include live shrimp bait, water, lunches, and more for an all-inclusive, one-of-a-kind experience for all. Just grab your license and you're all set!

"My best friend and I decided to take a trip to New Orleans for a week and we wanted to go fishing. We decided to book with Captain Rick and it was well worth it. He was super helpful and professional, while also being polite and cheerful. He provided everything from fresh bait to a lunch (thanks to his wife Mrs.Thompson) the rods and the lures. Him and his first mate also took care of everything and left more time for my friend and I to simply fish. I highly recommend going with Captain Rick if you have any plans on chartering a boat while down there. Great experience and a great time. -Lance"

"For Christmas I was given a fishing trip for me and my dad. Captain Rick didn't disappoint. Amazing doesn't give our trip justice. We got bait fresh out the net of a shrimp boat, a great homemade lunch ( Thank your Mrs. Thompson for the Lenten accommodations and delicious lunch), and great fishing. He not only shared his knowledge of fishing but shared a bit of himself, sharing stories of Mississippi and family. It was a slow start but his positive energy and knowledge landed us a nice haul. Thank you for the memories and great fishing. I can't wait to fish with you again in the future. Ps I owe you about a dozen hooks Capt 😂"

Capt. Rick and Arrington did it again. We had a great trip with plenty fish in the boat. If you want to experience fishing Southeast Louisiana at it's best, ClearVision Charters will not fail.

Captain Rick was absolutely amazing. Lots of fun, fishing, laughs and interaction. His wife provided a HOT lunch which was delicious. He put us on a ton of fish. Can't wait to return with our children. Boat has a bathroom. Hands down, best charter we have ever been on.
