Naples Charter Fishing | 4 Hour Half Day Trip
Looking for a solid half-day fishing adventure in Naples without the commitment of a full day on the water? Our 4-hour charter trips are perfect for getting your line wet and experiencing what makes Southwest Florida fishing legendary. Whether you're an early bird who loves the calm morning bite or prefer the afternoon action when the fish start moving, we've got you covered with both AM and PM departures. Captain Robbie runs a tight ship with all the gear you need, fresh bait ready to go, and the local knowledge that separates a good day from a great day on the water.
What to Expect on the Water
Four hours gives us plenty of time to hit multiple spots and dial in what the fish are doing that day. We'll start with live bait already on board, so there's no time wasted - you'll be fishing within minutes of leaving the dock. The boat is set up specifically for inshore and near-shore fishing, equipped with everything from light tackle for snook to heavier gear if we hook into something bigger. Captain Robbie knows these waters like the back of his hand and isn't afraid to move around if one spot isn't producing. You'll fish different structures, grass flats, and drop-offs depending on conditions and what species we're targeting. The morning trips often start with calmer conditions and hungry fish, while afternoon charters can offer more active feeding as the day progresses. Either way, you're looking at quality time with your line in productive water.
Techniques & Tackle Setup
We run a mix of live bait fishing and artificial lures depending on what's working best. Live shrimp, pinfish, and sardines are go-to baits for most of our target species, and we'll have you fishing everything from shallow grass flats to deeper structure. You'll be using spinning tackle mostly - easy to handle whether you're a seasoned angler or getting back into fishing after some time away. When we're working snook around docks and mangroves, we'll use lighter leaders and smaller hooks to get those finicky bites. For redfish on the flats, we might switch to slightly heavier tackle and work the bait slower. If cobia show up, we'll quickly adjust to heavier gear and larger baits. Captain Robbie handles all the rigging and will coach you through different techniques as conditions change throughout the trip.
Customer Stories
"Amazing afternoon of fishing! Robbie knew where to go to catch fish. He was personable, knowledgeable and funny. We had a great time making memories and catching fish. We will recommend him to friends and family and book with him again when in the area." - Conor "Went out for a great morning with Capt. Robbie. Good communication to set up the morning. Boat was very well equipped for the day. Baitfish were onboard so were able to start fishing quickly. Capt Robbie ran us through lots of different locations and when things slowed down at one location, we quickly moved to another. We headed a little way offshore first and caught/released a small grouper, a nice snook, and hooked and lost a Goliath grouper. Then we headed closer to shore and caught/released a bunch of snook and a few snapper. Robbie is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful Capt. I would highly recommend and plan to fish with him again." - Graham "It was such a joy to have Robbie as our fishing captain for my husband and I's trip. The kid knows what he's doing to say the least. We caught more fish than expected (only kept enough for family to eat), boat was clean, & he is a well educated captain. For anyone coming to south Florida & want a great fishing experience, book Robbie. He's the real deal. We will be back next winter!!" - Bruce
Species You'll Want to Hook
Florida Pompano are one of the most prized catches in these waters, and for good reason. These silver beauties are fantastic table fare and put up a surprising fight for their size, typically running 2-4 pounds. They love sandy bottoms and structure, feeding on small crabs and sand fleas. Spring through fall offers the best pompano action, with cooler months bringing them closer to shore. What makes them special is their combination of fight and flavor - they're considered one of the best eating fish in Florida waters.
Snook are the signature gamefish of Southwest Florida, and Naples has some of the best snook fishing in the state. These ambush predators hang around docks, mangroves, and structure, waiting to slam bait fish. They're notorious for their acrobatic jumps and powerful runs, often heading straight for the nearest piling or mangrove root to break you off. Slot-size snook (28-33 inches) are keepers during open season, but we catch and release plenty of fish outside the slot. Their seasonal patterns make them accessible year-round, with warmer months bringing them into shallow water where the action gets visual and exciting.
Sheepshead might not win beauty contests, but they're clever fish that will test your skills. These black-and-white striped fish have powerful jaws designed for crushing barnacles and crabs off structure. They're notorious bait stealers - you'll feel tiny taps and think you're getting nibbles, then reel up to find your shrimp completely gone. When you do hook up, they make strong runs and use their flat sides to pull hard. Winter months are prime time for sheepshead, when they stack up around bridges and docks. They're excellent eating and provide steady action when other species are finicky.
Redfish are built like copper-colored bulldozers and fight just as hard. These powerful fish cruise grass flats and shorelines, tailing in shallow water like saltwater bonefish. A good redfish will make multiple runs, using its broad tail and thick body to wear you down. They're most active during moving tides, and Naples offers perfect redfish habitat
