Scott was such a fantastic guide. He made an already special experience SO enjoyable. I couldn't get over how patient he was--he took our family of 3 and managed our inexperience, tangles and hooked lines and with an incredible, optimistic, cheerful attitude. He even spent time showing our son, after a very long day, how to tie a fly. We'll never forget that day and Scott!

Scott s a an amazing guide. He truly cares about wildlife and bringing an unforgettable experience. My son and I had never fly fished before and he had us taking so many fish out of the creek by the end of the day it was amazing. Highly recommend!!

My wife booked a trip for me and four other family members as a birthday present. All of us were at varying skill levels. Scott had some great tips for those who already fly fish and was very patient and helpful with those of us who are novices. He was familiar with the best spots, the locations were beautiful and we all had a blast. I am looking forward to going fly fishing with Scott again. I HIGHLY recommend the Hume Fly Fisher. ~~ Gunther

Amazing day of fishing with Scott! He knew the river like the back of his hand and moved the 3 of us smoothly from one spot to another. He was prepared, had excellent equipment and flies, and was super easy to get along with. I've been fishing a long time and still came away with some new pointers and ideas from Scott -- really helpful. The guide can't control whether the fish are biting or not, but the fish cooperated and each of the 3 of us caught a bunch of fish! Rainbows and browns. At the end of the day, Scott pointed us to a few spots to fish on our own the next day. I highly recommend him!

Had a great day of fishing on the Kings River today (Aug. 2, 2024) and guide Scott MacDonald can take full credit. He knows where the fish are and what they are likely to hit. His patient advice and instructions helped a below-average fly fisherman (me) pull in 14-15 fish over about six hours. Fantastic day and Scott gets my highest recommendation. --Mike Reddin, Clovis

Scott was a great, knowledgeable teacher who clearly is an expert in Kings Canyon. Would highly recommend him for any trip from beginners (which we were) to expert (we ran into one of his previous clients who was out using his new skills he learned with Scott). Friendly guide made for the perfect day in the beautiful Sierra Nevada's!
