Johnny and the fishing expedition were truly outstanding. The fishing experience was fantastic, and Captain Johnny was an exceptional host on the boat. We brought our youngest son, who hadn't had much experience with big catches, and Johnny went above and beyond to teach him the ins and outs of salmon and sturgeon fishing while we enjoyed our day. We all deeply appreciated Johnny's efforts, and a big thank you from Lance goes out to him! We're certainly looking forward to our next trip with Johnny.

My wife and I fished with Johnny last week for three days and had an incredible time. We caught 19 sturgeon in 3 days of fishing. Johnny is knowledgeable, patient, and knows the river inside and out. This was my first time fishing the Frazier River and I would only go again fishing with Johnny. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to have a great time and catch lots of sturgeon.

My son and I recently had the extreme pleasure of going sturgeon fishing with Johnny, and the experience was truly unforgettable! From the moment we met, Johnny exuded warmth, professionalism, and a deep knowledge of the sport. What I particularly appreciated was Johnny's patient approach, especially with my son. My son loves to fish, but the prospect of landing a monster sturgeon made him a bit uneasy. I suspect that Johnny could tell my son was a bit nervous, so he immediately said all the right things to put my son's mind at ease and make him feel safe. Not only did he take the time to teach us the basics, ensuring we had a solid understanding, but he also shared invaluable tips and stories from his years of experience. He also taught us a great deal about these absolutely remarkable fish. They really are incredible. His genuine passion for fishing and his commitment to ensuring his guests have an extraordinary experience was evident throughout the day. The equipment was top-notch, the boat impeccably maintained, and the fishing spots he chose were teeming with sturgeon. We felt safe, guided, and taken care of during our entire trip. Johnny was also kind enough to bring my son and I some smoked salmon he made from salmon he had caught. I can honestly say it was the best I've ever had. We caught 6 incredible fish in total! My son landed the biggest one of the day, almost 8 feet long and weighing an estimated 273 lbs (exact measurements were 93" in length and 38" in circumference). My son was over the moon catching monster fish that dwarfed every other fish he'd ever caught, including some monster salmon in Campbell River. I wholeheartedly recommend Johnny's Sport Fishing for anyone looking to create lasting memories and learn from one of the best in the business. The experience was so incredible that I'm committed to doing this again with some friends and family, and we'll definitely be using Johnny's Sport Fishing. Thank you, Johnny, for an incredible experience we'll remember forever!

Nothing but laughter, good views, and good memories… oh and HUMONGOUS FISH! My husband has been dying to catch his dream fish, the Sturgeon. He keeps raving about how this was the best fishing experience of his life, to date. Can’t recommend Johnny enough! Thank you!

We've fished with Johnny twice now,once with another couple and just recently with our children. Johnny has a way about him that makes everyone feel comfortable and he is happy to answer any of your questions that you know hes heard 100 times before. As far as guides go, hes top notch, his knowledge of the fish and their habits is truly impressive and his desire to catch you a fish is evident when you spend the day with him. We WILL BE BACK !!!

Johnny is a legend. Everyone in the boat caught, and there were multiple fish over 7 feet. Would definitely book Johnny again!

My husband and I went fishing yesterday and we had so much fun! Johnny was so accommodating and easy to talk to! Would definitely recommend anyone thinking of going sturgeon fishing to book here! 5/5 stars!

Great guided tour by John. Professional and very knowledgeable in all aspects of it. Just fill your cooler with ice and your good to go. John had everything covered, and gave us an experience of a lifetime. (He is also an excellent photographer)

Fishing with Johnny was absolutely amazing the first time we went was not favourable conditions and well it’s called fishing not catching! He was forward and wanted to make us happy in anyway he could! I got the chance to go with him again and the conditions were better and explained everything about catching a sturgeon and setting the hook to different things about the sturgeon! I ended up hooking and bringing in 2 sturgeon and it was amazing! If you really want an awesome knowledge guide you should book with him! I know next time I make it to BC he will be one I look up! Thanks for everything you did man your great guy, knowledgeable guide and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
