I booked a last-minute charter with FINally Fishing Charters for myself and my three sons, and we had an amazing time! Captain Jennings is easy to communicate with, flexible during booking, and incredibly friendly. My youngest son, only 9 and the least experienced, received patient guidance and even out-fished his older brothers—giving him some serious bragging rights! Despite some rough waters and bad weather, Captain Jennings maximized our fishing time. We caught and kept 13 trout, and I even missed a few, earning some good-natured ribbing from him along the way! 😂 The boat was clean and comfortable, and the experience was completely family-friendly. Great boat and an excellent captain who handled my antics much better than I expected. Despite the cold water temperature affecting our luck with Trout and Reds, we still caught 12 nice Sheepshead and 22 Black Drum. It was a lot of fun for this old man!

Captain Jennings is outstanding! We went out right after Ida hit, and I was only expecting some much-needed time with my boys. However, Captain Jennings exceeded all expectations, putting us on a mess of specks and three big reds! Thanks, Captain—we will definitely be back!

This trip was especially meaningful to me as it was my dad's 71st birthday. I spent a considerable amount of time researching captains before selecting one. While I go speck and red fishing a few times a year with a friend, my dad has only been once, although we used to freshwater fish when I was a kid. He hasn't done much fishing since then. Originally scheduled for Saturday, Captain Parker called on Thursday and asked if we could reschedule for Friday due to expected bad weather on Saturday (with wind likely exceeding 15 mph). Fortunately, we were able to accommodate the change. We met Captain Parker in Pass Harbor on Friday morning, and he efficiently got us on the boat and underway. We headed over to Louisiana and hit several spots. Whenever a spot slowed down, we moved to another. By the end of the day, we had caught 29 keeper trout and 1 ground mullet, with the trout mostly above the size limit. We also released around 5 or 6 trout and lost another 8-10. My dad had what seemed like a sizable redfish on the line, but it broke off. Captain Parker was incredibly helpful with my dad as he adjusted to using the gear, going beyond mere assistance. He was extremely friendly and offered valuable advice about the area, clearly invested in ensuring we had a great fishing experience. The boat was impressive—a hybrid bay boat, larger for safety yet still easy to fish from. The rest of his equipment was top-notch, enhancing our fishing comfort and ease. We had a fantastic time, and I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Parker.
