I am Captain Frank Breakell, the owner, and operator of Brynnie-B Inshore Fishing, established in Stone Harbour, New Jersey. I have been a professional guide and angler fishing the local waters of Cape May County, New Jersey, for the last 20 years. I am also a health and physical education teacher for more than 26 years. I use my skills as a health and physical education teacher to provide my clients with the tips and instructions they need when fishing.
I became a professional angler on a whim, to be honest. I have always fished. I always took
people along. It just seemed to be the next logical step in my progression. After that, I decided to attend the class to become a certified OUPV (Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel) or simply a six-pack operator. Once I passed that class, I began my journey and career in guiding anglers.
Fishing is something that I am very passionate about, and I enjoy sharing that with others. There will be no secrets on my boat. It's all about the fun of fishing and the love of being out on the water.
I can recall my first fishing memory would be sitting on a jetty along with my father. I remember catching snapper blues. Then, my father would take the blues, put them on a hook and toss them out to capture tiderunner weakies.
One of my favorite places to fish is the beach. I love beaches because there is something about listening to and watching the waves as they touch the sand. The sand beneath your feet and the sun up in the skies. The amazement of where the fish may be holding on any given day or what fish species may show up eventually. For me, it’s just always sort of magical.
As a fishing guide, I let my clients pick what beach or fishing location they choose to explore and let them see what the surf has to offer. Depending upon the season, anglers can target striped bass, bluefish, mahi-mahi, weakfish, triggerfish, flounder, and many other species like black drum, sandbar shark, summer flounder, black sea bass, and tautog.
Brynnie-B specializes in inshore fishing. Surf fishing offers angling opportunities for those who prefer to stay on land, novice anglers who want to try fishing for the first time, or larger groups looking for more adventure. Inshore fishing is also a great way to get children involved and engaged in fishing. For a more adventurous approach, anglers can also try fishing from bridges and banks.
New Jersey offers a choice of fishing spots that anglers can choose. Stone Harbor is part of Cape May County, settling in the southern portion of Seven Mile Island. Stone Harbour is a resort community visited by tourists who love beaches, activities, and entertainment centers. Stone Harbour faces the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean, an ideal spot to experience New Jersey sportfishing. Aside from braving the Atlantic Ocean, anglers can also choose to fish in Delaware Bay, an inlet of the North Atlantic Ocean. The bay is part of the New Jersey–Delaware state border.
With decades of professional fishing background and enough experience, booking a fishing trip with Brynnie-B Inshore Fishing will ensure you'll experience the right journey. We in Brynnie-B offer something for every level of angler – every trip that can be fully customized to suit your needs and wants.
The waters of Cape May County consist of a variety of species that are available in different seasons. Brynnie-B is the expert in fishing in the calm waters of the back bays, open waters of the Atlantic Ocean, or Delaware Bay. We will brave the waters of Cape May County aboard Brynnie-B II, a 2020 Cape Horn 22OS boat equipped with safety equipment and GPS, dual fishfinders, VHF radio, Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon, and life jackets. Brynnie-B II can accommodate up to six guests. As the captain, I will provide everything you need to ensure you have a safe day on the water. I will also provide you with the necessary fishing equipment for the trip, such as rods, reels, and tackle. You are also free to bring your lucky fishing gear with you. We provide rods, reels, sinkers, rigs, plugs, flies, teasers, spoons, cast nets, snag hooks, bait, gaff, landing nets, or any fishing equipment useful on the trip. I ensure all the required safety and navigational equipment will be ready on board. You are advised to wear something other than boots and encouraged to avoid bringing aerosol sunscreen, bug spray, glass, or other hard objects for your safety.
If you are more of a person who loves to fish from the land rather than traveling on a boat, a local beach is available for use to fish. Surf fishing offers a chance for those who prefer to stay on land. But seasoned anglers and those seeking more of a challenge are welcome aboard Brynnie-B II.
I will ensure you will have a fun, action-packed inshore fishing experience as Brynnie-B takes you to the calm waters of the back bays, the beautiful sandy beaches of Stone Harbor, the open Atlantic Ocean, and Delaware Bay.
