Captain Savio Mizzi has an incredible passion and talent for fishing. He's a master with his preferred method of very Light Tackle Bucktailing, as well as Plugging and Flyrodding, and he has over 35 years of experience fishing Montauk.
Savio's got experience catching huge bass- he's reeled in a 65 lb striper. He's also got experience catching tons of big bass- Savio has caught 35 bass over 35 pounds... in one day! All these fish came on the bucktail in one outing, and Savio will teach you how to replicate this success. No matter the conditions. you can rest assured Captain Savio will give you the best chance at catching fish!
Captain Savio is also extremely skilled at fluke fishing, and he knows the best local spots and techniques. In 2019, Fishooker clients landed 9 double digit Fluke in just a month and a half.
Fishooker clients always go home with a smile, and you'll definitely learn something from your captain while you're on the water. Sea Bass, Stripers, Blue Fish, Bonito and False Albacore are all common catches during the Fall Run.
