Gamble Creek is a stream found in Manatee County near Fort Hammer. It’s about 6.8 miles away from the town of Ellenton and has less than a 1-meter elevation. It is connected to the Manatee River and is found nearby other water bodies that include streams like Mill Creek and Gates Creek, both being 0.2 miles and 0.5 miles away from Gamble Creek respectively. You can also find other landmarks nearby including a nearby town named Foxleigh found 1.9 miles southwest and a bend in the stream called Devil’s Elbow. 

A popular landmark near the stream is the town of Fort Hammer. Its name was taken from a former military installation that operated in the area. The fort was established on November 28, 1849, as per the order of Major General David E. Twiggs. It was meant to repel the Seminole people who were attacking pioneer outposts. Eventually, by 1895, the fort was dismantled after serving its purpose. Nowadays, the area is just a sandy bank used for boating trips in the Manatee River.
