Booked an ice fishing trip with AJ and he put me on some fish including my first lake trout. He also gave me a ton of tips that allowed me to better find fish on my own. Booked a last min ice fishing trip and it was amazing!! AJ and our guide were so great! Very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. I had so much fun, I didn’t want to leave! We will definitely book again if we visit the area again. Thank you so much! You made our weekend trip.

Again we had a great day fishing with AJ. Can’t say enough about him, a wonderful human!!! -3 when we started and warmed up to a balmy 13!!!! Our son caught his first Pike!!!

Booked an 8 hour trip with BFC in hopes to get my first pike. AJ met me at my hotel right on time at 0600 and after a very short ride we were at the lake; kayaks already in the water to launch. I was welcomed to use my own gear I brought. The pressure was off in the first 10 minutes after a solid largemouth smashed my Plopper. Now the hunt was in for pike. While the weather was great, the water like glass, and the scenery absolutely breathtaking; the fish just weren’t cooperating. Not like we hoped at least. The kayaks AJ has are big and comfortable and the electric motor makes trolling a breeze. Lunch gets delivered to the shore and was amazing. Best turkey sammich I’ve ever had. Like for real. I want another but live 4 hours away. We got into the pike after lunch and I hooked a beast only to have him get off before I could land him! I was heart broken but pumped. An 8 hour day flew by. I could have done 12 hours easy. Can’t wait to go back. I have a pike out there with my name on it.

My wife and I randomly met AJ in the Woods and Waters shop and ended up booking our first ice fishing trip. We had an absolute blast learning some new things! AJ was great - friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely enjoy what he’s doing. We definitely highly recommend him.

Battle fish is awesome. Booked last minute and got lucky. Took my 2 boys out and what a great time we had. AJ was knowledgeable, patient, and all around a great guy. I highly recommend him and will definitely use him again.
