Surrounded by bayous and backwaters, Arnaudville provides an opportunity to capture both freshwater and saltwater fish species for both its residents and visiting anglers. Well-loved fishing destinations include Lake Ponchartrain, Toledo Bend Reservoir, Bayou Lacombe, and Bayou Teche.

Spotted sea trout, redfish, sheepshead, and different types of bass can be caught in Lake Ponchartrain. A world record of over 21 pounds of sheepshead is caught in this lake. If you enjoy wade fishing, take a trip to Bayou Lacombe and capture largemouth bass and redfish. Sustaining a range of wildlife, Toledo Bend Reservoir is home to alligators, snakes, birds, and fish species such as crappie, channel catfish, and striped bass. For recreational fishing, Bayou Teche is the perfect place. Here, you can catch bream and largemouth bass as well.

Anglers commonly perform fly fishing and bow fishing; many other fish species are caught because of the brackish waters. Other fish species are chain pickerel, freshwater drum, warmouth, and rainbow trout.
