Private 4-Hour Inshore Fishing Trip
Get ready to fish with Captain Joe and the crew at Relentless Fishing NJ for a private 4-hour inshore adventure that'll have you talking about it for months. Based out of Sea Isle City, we're positioned perfectly to hit the productive inshore waters where the fish are biting. This isn't your typical crowded charter - you'll have the entire boat to yourself and up to 5 friends or family members, plus our undivided attention to make sure everyone gets hooked up. Whether you're a seasoned angler or picking up a rod for the first time, we'll put you on fish and show you why Sea Isle City is one of the top-rated fishing destinations on the Jersey coast.
What to Expect on the Water
Your day starts at our dock just 2 minutes from Townsend Inlet, where you'll board the Relentless - a boat that cuts through the ocean like a rocket ship and gets us to the fish fast. Captain Joe knows these waters like the back of his hand and isn't afraid to move around until we find where the fish are holding. We'll be targeting inshore species that put up a real fight, and with our private setup, there's no rushing or waiting your turn. The boat's equipped with top-notch gear, but feel free to bring your own if you've got favorites. We'll handle all the navigation, fish-finding, and net work - your job is to enjoy the ride and reel in some quality fish. The 4-hour window gives us plenty of time to explore different spots and adjust our approach based on what the fish are doing that day.
Techniques and Tackle
We run a mix of trolling and live bait fishing depending on conditions and what species we're after. When the bonito are running, we'll get the spread out and cover water until we find the schools - sometimes you'll see three rods go off at once. For the bottom dwellers like flounder, we'll anchor up on productive structure and work jigs or live bait. Captain Joe carries quality tackle suited for the inshore game, from spinning reels perfect for casting to the heavier conventional setups when we need to get down deep or handle bigger fish. The boat's fishfinder helps us locate baitfish and structure, but it's Captain Joe's experience reading the water, birds, and current that really makes the difference. We'll teach you the techniques as we go - how to work a jig, when to let a fish run, and how to fight them without losing your arms in the process.
Customer Stories
"Yesterday we had a great time with Captain Joe out of SIC. After we had to cancel last week due to weather, we made up for it yesterday. He found the best locations and the bonita were hitting. BAM! Sometimes 3 at a time. My wife almost had a heart attack when I got home with my share of the fish. My grandsons had a time they will always remember. We will too. Can't wait to go again. Thanks Captain Joe! Out of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best, my rating for Captain Joe and Relentless Fishing is a solid 10!" - Scott
"Joe is a great captain and very welcoming. He answered all our questions and really cared that we caught fish allowing us to push back the charter to better days not just take our money knowing fishing has been slow. Can't say enough good about our experience." - Logan

Species You'll Want to Hook
King Mackerel are the speed demons of our inshore waters and one of the most sought-after species we target. These fish can stretch over 30 inches and put up a blistering fight with long runs that'll test your drag system. They're most active during warmer months and love to chase fast-moving baits. When you hook into a king, you'll know it immediately - they hit hard and don't give up easy. The meat is excellent eating, and landing one is always a highlight of any trip.
Cobia are the bulldogs of the inshore game, often called "ling" by local anglers. These brown, shark-looking fish are curious by nature and will often follow the boat, giving you multiple shot opportunities. They're powerful fighters that use their broad bodies to pull hard in the current. Spring and fall are prime times, and a good-sized cobia can easily hit 20-40 pounds. They're also one of the best eating fish in these waters.
Pacific Bonito bring non-stop action when we find the schools. These smaller tunas are built for speed and will bend your rod in half despite their size. They travel in large schools and when you find them, it's game on - multiple hookups are common and the action can be fast and furious. They hit trolled baits and jigs with authority, and their stamina will surprise you. Great for kids and beginners because they're manageable size but still pack a punch.
Spanish Mackerel are the perfect inshore species for consistent action. They're aggressive biters that will hit everything from small jigs to trolled spoons. These fish are beautiful with their spotted sides and provide excellent table fare. They're typically in the 1-3 pound range, making them perfect for light tackle fishing. When the Spanish are in, you can expect steady action throughout the trip.
Bluefish are the ultimate aggressive predator in our waters. These toothy customers will hit just about anything you throw at them when they're feeding. They school up in large numbers and create feeding frenzies that attract diving birds - a dead g
