Initially, our scheduled fishing day coincided with windy and choppy conditions. The captain, being transparent and insightful, provided detailed information about the fishing conditions on his vessel. He presented alternatives, such as opting for a larger boat with another captain or rescheduling for a different day with him, showcasing genuine concern for our well-being. Captain Bill and Dan were fully engaged, assisting both of our families throughout the trip. The vessel comfortably accommodated all nine of us, comprising four adults and five children, offering ample options for shade or sun exposure. Additionally, they ensured that the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We wholeheartedly recommend this experience. Many thanks!

Captain Dan ensured a warm and enjoyable experience as we reeled in yellowtail snappers and groupers. We even spotted some huge bull sharks. With a group of four children aged 6 and up, it was the perfect family outing.

We had a fantastic day on the water today during our annual fishing trip with the fellas. Dale and Captain Bill ensured we had a great time, keeping us on the fish all day and even giving us a shark feeding show! Highly recommend.

In April, a group of 10 friends traveled from Savannah, GA to Hypoluxo for a deep sea fishing adventure. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans, delivering 13-16 foot seas throughout their stay. Captain Cox did his best to accommodate us, but despite his efforts, we couldn't get out on the water over the next two days. The trip was rescheduled for September 13th with seven fishermen remaining. This time, Hurricane Lee and the weather were on our side, providing calm seas and hot weather. We had a fantastic time, wrestling a few sharks (one possibly over 200 lbs), catching over 20 yellowtail snapper (with 12 keepers, the best at 17.5"), a couple of baby bull mahi (one keeper at about 25"), a few triggerfish, a barracuda, and a couple of remoras. Fun fact: remoras attach to their hosts for travel (phoresis) rather than for parasitic reasons. In some cultures, remoras are used to catch sea turtles by tying their tails to a line. Captain Cox and Tyler, the first mate, were wonderful, going above and beyond to make the trip special, even putting up with a lot of nonsense from us. We're excited to schedule our next trip, aiming to make it a regular adventure and hoping the rest of the guys can join. I'm particularly after a wahoo. I highly recommend Southern Comfort IV charter fishing for anyone looking for a great time and a delicious dinner to follow. Happy fishing, everyone!
