I have followed Austin Anderson’s Buffalo and carp catches for over a decade. He has consistently pulled the biggest buffalo of anyone I’ve ever seen for the last decade. I recently spent 4 days under his tutelage and guidance chasing smallmouth Buffalo. I’ve never encountered someone more professional, prepared, knowledgeable and on task. The experience of fishing with Austin transcends fishing… he rolled up to the bank with a fully outfitted trailer in tow with every piece of gear imaginable… and then some. Before I ever arrived Austin had already set up a canopy shelter with several tables arranged as rigging stations, cooking areas, and just a place to relax and enjoy good conversation. He had arranged several comfortable bivvy tents along the waters edge where a first row seat of an amazing Texas sunset was right outside the tents opening over Lake Fork. It was clear that Austin was as invested in the non-fishing portion of the experience as he was the actual fishing. He stayed active the ENTIRE TIME - Baiting the area, mixing baits, prepping and maintaining gear and the surrounding campsite. The guy is simply on another level. This isn’t fishing, it’s an experience. A real adventure. I would behoove any intrepid angler with a thirst for adventure and a passion for big freshwater fish to book Austin. He is unequivocally the best Buffalo fisherman there is.
