Our crew was top-notch, and we reached our limit with Coho and King Salmon, as well as Rainbow and Lake Trout! On the way back to the harbor, the captain and Dillon cleaned and filleted our catch, leaving us excited for many delicious meals ahead. Captain James is not only an exceptionally skilled fishing guide but also a truly wonderful person. His kindness, respectfulness, and deep knowledge of fishing, combined with a great sense of classic fishing humor, created an experience that surpassed our expectations. We caught an impressive number of coho salmon and lake trout, along with a nice king salmon, to the point where we had to rush out and buy bigger coolers right after the trip. We celebrated Father’s Day a week late with a fantastic 5-hour afternoon fishing trip on Lake Michigan with Captain James. Thanks to his extensive knowledge of the local waters and real-time updates from his network of boats, Captain Jim kept us consistently fishing with the right bait, at the ideal depth, and with the perfect presentation throughout the day. We caught several nice-sized Coho. It was a wonderful afternoon on the water, characterized by a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere aboard a boat perfectly equipped for Lake Michigan. We highly recommend this charter, and I will definitely book Captain Jim and Long Gone 3 again in the future.

Captain Jim's strong relationships with other captains ensured we knew the best spots to maximize our catch. The service was top-notch, with great gear and helpful guidance throughout our time on the water. I highly recommend this charter! Our group included an experienced angler, an 8th grader who loves fishing, and a novice, and everyone had a fantastic time!
