Fishing Charters in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Recently went out with Isaac on the Muskegon River and wanted to take the time to highlight my experience. First impression, showed up 10 minutes early to designated spot and time of 6 am and boat was already in the water ready to roll. No waiting for a guide or the impression your on his time. Boat is massive, clean, orderly and extremely comfortable to fish from especially for float fishing that requires some real estate. As far as the fishing experience, it was a tough day on the water. That day was the tail end of post flood recovery of the river system. We had bites, small hookups but nothing spectacular. Being an experienced fisherman and understanding conditions, this happens. I highlight this specifically because I feel how a guide handles these situations in the face of adversity is equally as important as hauling in fish for customer experience. When I say Isaac and myself threw everything we had at it, I absolutely mean it. He really took the time and energy to spot hop, and tie up new bead combos constantly. Genuine care was displayed to get on them, and even without ask or mention extended the trip 2 hours to try and accommodate best he could. Highly appreciated and despite less than ideal fishing, had an amazing time being out on the water. These were my lasting impressions. Isaac is knowledgeable of the river, a hard working individual and cares highly for his customers experience. Felt comfortable in the boat, had great conversation and did manage to get into a few trout. Overall was a great experience. We had an amazing time with Captain Justin! He was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to get along with, making the trip enjoyable from start to finish. He shared valuable insights about the best seasons to fish and which species to target. Although we didn’t catch anything this time, the experience was still a lot of fun!

They took us out on 🌅 Lake Michigan, as they explained all the fishing gadgets they had on the boat and how to operate them. Afterward, they even cleaned & 🔪🐟 cut the fish (which was such a bonus)! Captains Bob and Kevin provided clear instructions and guided us straight to the best fishing spots. They were incredibly helpful and hands-on, especially with our family of beginners, including our 8-year-old son.
