This was our first time to Alligator point. Our family of 5 wanted to do a charter fishing trip. We contacted Capt Dave at Salty Native. He was booked and gave us many recommendations who also happened to be booked. To our delight, Capt Dave carved time out of his personal time to take us fishing! Not only we’re we impressed by his kindness, he made sure we caught fish! We laughed and fished and can’t wait until we come back! Next time we will book as soon as we know when we’re coming back! Fished with Captain David for two days. He was fantastic. He was kind and patient with my family and worked hard to put us on and keep us on the fish. We thoroughly enjoyed our fishing trips and strongly recommend you have David take you out.

Capt David took my granddaughter, my grandson, 2 of her friends and myself out on a choppy day as a gift for my grand daughter's high school graduation. She will be studying marine biology this fall, with a passion for sharks. He put us on the sharks, and everyone had an exciting day! Thank you, Capt David!

This was our 2nd trip with Captain David and although our first trip in February was good as you can see by the photos this one was a trip of a lifetime.

Weather- Very knowledgeable on what to do when it comes to weather conditions. We received a little storm that morning and as eager as we were to get out on the water because it was what we had planned, I am glad we waited. We caught the very end of that storm and the water was rough. I appreciate that our safety was being taken into consideration. Fishing- We were able to keep our poles in the water a good amount of the day as Dave spent his time keeping our lines baited, etc.. By the end of the day we were fished out and had caught everything that we previously spoke about targeting, plus some. Grouper, Snapper, Mahi Mahi, a few others that aren't as common, and one large 8 foot shark! Over all, it was a successful day out on the water. We went last year, this year, and we plan on going for a third time next year. See you soon Dave!

If we have the chance to do this again, you better believe we will choose to book with Captain David! It was so refreshing to work with a man who works to honor his handshake, even when unforeseen circumstances arise... he was able to take a 'bad' situation (offshore boat issue) and ensure our party of 7 had a great experience that lasted all day, inshore! He was patient in working with children (the youngest was 10yr old), while also providing knowledge of the area and available species to even the experienced fishermen in our group. He truly made it feel as though he was along for the ride, rather than us, as he listened to and accommodated all needs, and wants. We wanted a little thrill for the kids (hooked up with 4ft ray and saw 4ft sharks), wanted to ensure everyone caught something (nobody hooked under 5 fish), and wanted to take a little meat home (enjoyed a limit on speckled trout to pair with a few mackerel)! An honest, hard-working family man that we'll all forever call 'Uncle Dave'... thanks for the memories!
