Sam is an absolute wealth of knowledge and a gift to the northwoods. I booked this trip for my wife’s birthday, her and I were blown away with the entire experience. We have booked many guided trips from the Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes, and Sam provided us with the most memorable fishing trip of our lives. To say I recommend him for your guided trips, would be an enormous understatement, the guy is one of a kind!

We had an awesome day on the water with Captain Greg and his first mate, Shane. From the time we got on the boat until we headed back to the marina, they made sure everyone in our family had a great time. They were especially good with our three teenagers, answered all of our questions, and took the time to explain what they were doing throughout the trip. The boat was very comfortable, the weather was perfect, and Greg was just a great guy to spend the morning with. He was easy to talk to, shared a lot of knowledge, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. Shane was just as friendly and worked hard all morning to keep us on fish and make sure everyone was having fun. The fishing was excellent. We caught several steelhead, including a 30-inch, 10.5-pound fish that Greg said was only a couple pounds away from being tournament caliber. With the weather being so nice and a little extra time available, Greg took us to one more fishing spot before heading back to the marina. We really appreciated him making the most of the great conditions. If you’re looking for a charter with great people who genuinely care about giving you a memorable experience, we highly recommend Captain Greg and Shane. We had an amazing day and are already looking forward to fishing with them again the next time we’re in Milwaukee.

I had wanted to take my son fishing on Lake Michigan for years, so I finally booked a trip with Captain Chris aboard the High Life. It turned out to be an incredible day on the water. We landed 9 coho salmon, lost a few along the way, and brought home over 18 pounds of fish. Captain Chris and Billy worked hard throughout the trip, adjusting lures, positioning the boat, and sharing their knowledge to keep us on the fish. Their experience and dedication made all the difference. The highlight of the day was watching my son reel in his first Lake Michigan fish. That's a memory we'll both cherish for years to come. My son is already planning a King Salmon trip this July, and there's no question we'll be booking with Captain Chris and the High Life again.
